Praying For God To Move…

Today, I prayed over 10,000 postcards that will be delivered to the post office tomorrow advertising our Tattoo sermon series beginning on 9/7. I prayed for the people that will be receiving these postcards….the confused, the hurting, the searching, the broken, the disconnected, and the hopeless.

I was reminded yesterday that God’s timing is not always my timing.

A few minutes before church started yesterday, I met a retired gentleman that was making his way into the auditorium. I introduced myself and asked him if it was his first time here. He said that it was. He told me that he received a postcard from us some time ago that said “No Perfect People Allowed” and he said that it stuck with him ever since he received it in the mail. He said that God has been working in his life and he came today to find Jesus! I told him that he came to right place to find him. At the end of the service, he gave his life to Christ!

We mailed that postcard out last November! I remember thinking that mailing that postcard was a waste of money, because no one visited as a result of it…that is until yesterday! Wow…I was wrong about wasting money. If the only purpose of that 10,000 piece mailer was for God to speak to this one man…it was more than worth it!

Seeing life change never gets old! It’s why we exist…

Would you please pray with me and ask God to move in the hearts of those that will receive the postcard this week. Let’s pray with faith, expecting God to answer!

  1. What an awesome story! We had a lady bring her family yesterday that had been “considering” coming to actionchurch since she met us at the Fair last year (September 2007). Kinda reminds you of actually “planting” doesn’t it…sometimes the harvest takes a while…but it is so worth it. Go Elk Creek!

  3. The Lord Truly works in His timing. This is such an awesome example of God giving us hope and encouragement right when we need it!

Postcards can have a very very long shelf life and don’t generate immediate results all the time. I’d be happy to help you on your postcards at our cost if you ever need to mail out others. Our money back guarantee would be based on your satisfaction.

It would be awesome to be using our skills to further Gods Kingdom! We did some postcards for a Christian School in the past with good results!
