I Get To Be A Part Of This…Ya gotta be kiddin’ me!
I got to my office(Starbucks) early this morning, had a great time of reading some scripture and praying. My heart is so full from the past several weeks of events at Elk Creek. I’m blown away that God would use a small group of people to touch so many lives in our community. Our volunteers are flat out incredible! I have never seen people serve as hard and as cheerfully as our team…seriously! I also appreciate our friends at Gateway for helping us serve our community yesterday, you guys are awesome!
Over the past two weeks, our little church has touched over 4,000 people in some catalytic way! Think about this…
- Some people’s negative perception of “Church” was positively changed for the good.
- Our community has seen us doing creative, cutting edge things instead of being behind the times. The Church is widely perceived at being about 25 years behind culture.
- We were able to serve and give to our community in incredible ways showing that the Church is not “on the take”, it’s on the give.
- Hundreds of people heard about the life changing power of Jesus Christ over the past two weeks. We definitely did a good job of making Jesus famous!
- Thousands of people who didn’t know we exist now know who Elk Creek Church is!
- The ripple effect of these events will continue on for many months to come.
Remember our mission…To be a catalyst for life change through the message of Jesus Christ!
This is only the beginning…Let’s celebrate, but not for too long, there’s more work to do!
